Tomorrow (Thursday) is the last day to order yearbooks.  Please order via email ahallman@davidsonday.org before 4:00 p.m.

Davidson Day School is a proud sponsor of the 20th Annual Christmas in Davidson festival, which takes place this Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6–9 p.m. Come see us at our booth on the Green, buy a gingerbread cookie to benefit Ada Jenkins, and catch our student holiday performances on the steps of the Davidson Library:

Thursday 8:30 p.m. – Holiday music
Friday 7:30 p.m. – Holiday comedy

OUR NEW ATHLETIC CENTER OPENS MONDAY!
That’s right. Our beautiful new Athletic Center opens Monday, December 8th and we’ll have a special celebration for students and any parents who can join us on that morning before school. Details to follow in Friday’s full Roundabout – including important information regarding shoes that will be allowed on the freshly surfaced floor.

Check it out at www.davidsonday.org. We’re proud of our new site and we think you will be, too. The Parent Portal is there, along with lots of impressive information about our school, our programs, and our unique educational environment.

5th GRADE NEEDS YOUR OLD SHOES!
The 5th Grade is asking each DDS family to donate old rubber-soled shoes this week to help support the Town of Davidson’s efforts to make rubber-floored playgrounds. We will deliver the shoes to the box in front of Town Hall this Thursday and Friday. We are competing against five other schools locally. The school that collects the most will win a prize from the Town of Davidson.

SUPPORT OUR ANGEL TREE
The Upper School Service Club is sponsoring an Angel Tree to aid local families through the Ada Jenkins Center. To participate, please remove an Angel from the tree in the Atrium and sign your name in the Gift Register next to your ornament number. Gifts are due by Friday, December 12th. OLD STUFFED ANIMALS AND DOLLS = MEALS FOR A COMMUNITY PARTNER 
This is your last chance to help us collect gently used stuffed animals and dolls for the Davidson Cornelius Day Care to be sold at Christmas in Davidson.  Please bring donations in Thursday or Friday and they will be collected from the classrooms.
