Countdown to Canada!
Davidson Day’s 1st ever MS Exchange Program is quickly approaching! 12 students along with Madame Geiger and Madame Gelinas will be traveling to Nova Scotia, Canada October 9-17. Students will be staying with host families, doing community service projects, be immersed in the culture, and visiting local schools. It is a very exciting opportunity for Grade 7 and 8 students! The next meeting for the trip will be Wednesday October 7 at 6:30 in Madame Geiger's Room (409).

Upper School Students Hit the Road
All US students will be on class trips next week.  The juniors will be gone from 9/29-10/2.  All other classes will be out from 9/30-10/2.  Please make sure that all appropriate paperwork is returned ASAP.  Please contact Brad Laatsch, blaatsch@davidsonday.org with any questions.

Important Photo Information
There were several families requesting sibling or family shots that could not be accommodated this past Tuesday.  St. John has not yet agreed to come back out (from Pineville), but if we can get 13 families to commit, there is an extremely good chance that we can persuade them to do so.  Please contact Amy Hallman (ahallman@davidsonday.org) if you are interested in sibling or family photos.

Proofs will go home next week on Tuesday, September 29, or the following Monday, October 5, to coordinate with class trips for the Middle and Upper Schools Wednesday-Friday. Please be on the lookout for them.

Cuddly Friends Picnic
On Thursday, the Kindergarten classes kicked off our Superstars of the Week program with a Cuddly Friends Picnic. Each kindergartner brought their favorite stuffed friend to school for a picnic and to spend the night. Each Kindergarten class has a T-Rex that will be traveling from home to home over the next several months. We'd like to say a special thank you to Mrs. Cotter, who joined in on the fun by helping us choose who would get to be the first to take Dino, Speedy, and Theodore home. Ask a Kindergarten student to tell you about the trouble their friends got into while they spent the night at DDS.
